Getting Started in My University

Lock the opening, spend on the right queues, and survive the first decade.

Getting Started

My University drops you into a principal’s chair with a cartoon campus and a ledger that can die in silence. The first hour is not about pretty dorms. It is about three opening rolls, two construction queues, and a habit of opening the white school icon before you feel rich. This page is the day-one route. Pair it with the Guides Hub when you need a specialist chapter, and keep the first-decade checklist open if you like boxes more than paragraphs.

The only opening worth keeping

Reroll until you see a city campus, the Virtue school ethos (以德兴校), and a level-4 chef. Virtue is the economic spine. The city site keeps early traffic and public-building income from feeling like a village stall. The chef is a seed, not a kitchen staff: you will park that one cook, then ignore hiring until stoves and the recipe lab are finished. Other ethos options look noble and then starve the public-construction loop. If you want the ranked version of this advice, use the opening-choices tier list.

Set course pressure near 400 on vocational and bachelor tracks so clubs can still recruit. Master’s and doctorate pressure can sit near 500 later. International teacher hiring on day one is fine: accept the board, do not overbuild offices, and replace anyone who resigns instead of bidding a fortune to keep a mediocre lecturer.

Year-one money is ugly on purpose

The canteen does not print cash in year one. Ads, cheap tuition, and public buildings do. Open public construction immediately. Build and upgrade the e-sports stall and the other small shops; skip the shuttle bus, which burns cash before you have a reason to move students. Tuition can sit high and score lines low while you are poor. Graduation rate becomes a project after the kitchen works, not before. The longer version lives in how to make money and the enrollment planner.

In the same year, open the canteen management panel and start stoves. The target is forty. Upgrade the recipe lab and the secret-recipe workshop in parallel. Do not hire a wall of chefs until those two tracks are done. One working cook is enough to keep the building from looking abandoned. The canteen guide is the deep dive; this page only needs you to start the queue so you are not discovering stoves in year six.

Activities, library, and the white icon

School activities are a prestige faucet that many principals find after they already missed a rank window. Open the panel in year one and start four events. Scholarships can wait a few years; early cash belongs in buildings. The library rating is a rank prerequisite long before you care about rare books. Open library management, read the rating conditions, and treat them as homework rather than flavour. When you later need fragments, faculty and labs explains the professor hire-and-release loop.

Tap the white school icon at the top of the campus. That list is the real campaign. Vocational to bachelor, then 211, then 985, each with a mix of library, sports, teaching, and cash checks. If you only chase monthly income you will sit at a low rank with a fat canteen and a blocked upgrade. The school upgrade page is the gate-by-gate sheet.

What not to build yet

Dorm gadgets look like progress and mostly feed a composite score. Expand beds when you can, but do not let air-conditioners outrun stoves. Sports halls should wait for a cash cushion in the high hundreds of millions; unlocking them early without athletes or training discipline just parks empty concrete. Logistics needs one person per department so inspections do not fine an empty office. Do not double wages into the tens of millions because a janitor threatened to quit. Event choices that look like free money are often traps; keep the random events sheet nearby.

Save the run. The game autosaves around 26 August, and a manual save before you leave still matters. If a download asks for an activation key, you grabbed the wrong package; the links page points at TapTap and the App Store. Gift-pack steps, when a storefront actually issues one, sit on the codes hub.

You are playing a released single-player campus that first appeared as a public test on 23 September 2021. There is no shared campus. The UI is Chinese. This wiki exists so the opening does not have to be a translation puzzle and a bankruptcy at the same time.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers principals ask after the first bankrupt year.

What opening should I keep in My University?

City campus, Virtue school, and a level-4 chef. Reroll the rest. Virtue funds the early public-building loop.

When do I hire a full canteen staff?

After forty stoves and a finished recipe lab. One cook is enough until that queue is done.

Why is my school rank stuck?

Open the white school icon. Library rating and sports prestige block more upgrades than raw cash.

Is My University multiplayer?

No. It is a single-player campus on Android, iOS, and TapTap PC.
