My University Review

A dense principal sim that rewards a ledger more than a postcard campus.

Review

My University is a single-player campus management sim from Chengdu Photon Changyou. You are a principal. You are not a freshman, and you are not building a Roblox hangout. The TapTap page still says test. The first public build appeared on 23 September 2021. Version 0.0.1.094 landed on 20 July 2026. That combination — years of patches, a test badge, a Chinese-only UI — is the whole personality of the game. This review is for people deciding whether the ledger is worth the translation work. If you already decided yes, leave through the Guides Hub.

What the loop actually is

The fantasy is a world-class university. The loop is three factories and a popup sheet. Public shops and ads keep year one alive. The canteen becomes the first real surplus. The sports center becomes the prestige printer after a three-year expansion clock. Rank gates on the white school icon ask for library titles and teaching quality that cash cannot skip. Random events sit on top of all of that and will delete a 211 year if you treat every holiday as a gift.

That is a better design than it sounds. The game is not a tycoon that only wants a bigger number. It wants you to keep a kitchen, a rating, a roster, and a moral calendar in the same head. When it works, a decade feels like a campaign. When it fails, you are staring at a janitor wage you doubled into comedy.

Where it is rough

The UI is Simplified Chinese. This wiki exists because the official storefronts do not ship English, French, German, or Spanish. Tooltips improved in 2026 — academy transfers prefer high ability, department counts warn you — but a new principal still needs a sheet for inspections and chef bands. There is no shared campus. Leaderboards compare schools; they do not let a friend place a stove. Gift codes are not a Roblox-style standing list. Packs appear through storefronts and QQ groups, which the codes hub explains without inventing CDKs.

The test badge is also a promise the developer has not taken down. Systems are deep and still receive quality-of-life patches, but you should expect odd edges: a club that will not recruit because pressure is wrong, a sports flicker that needs the in-game repair button, a save you forgot because you left before the 26 August autosave. The links page is where you go to install the real package. Anything that asks for an activation key is the wrong file.

Do not confuse this title with the delisted 2019 Steam game that reused the English name. Different studio, different fantasy, dead store page.

Who should play it

Play My University if you like management games that punish sloppy yes clicks and reward a written plan. The first-decade checklist and the event advisor are the kind of tools this design deserves. Skip it if you want a multiplayer campus, an English UI, or a short session that ends in a match highlight. A honest run is measured in in-game years, not in evenings.

The presentation is bright and cartoonish. The systems are not cute. That contrast is why a 7.9 TapTap score and a long test label can both be true. I like the canteen factory and the event sheet. I do not like empty sports halls or researcher age traps that the game explains after the funeral. If those sentences sound like your kind of complaint, you will get along with the save file.

After you install from TapTap or the App Store, read Getting Started before you decorate a dorm. The lawn can wait. The stove queue cannot. That is the review in one line, and it is also the reason this wiki is a campus, not a poster.
