Random events are how My University pretends to be a story and then audits your prestige. A principal who taps Yes on every holiday will still lose a rank fight to someone who treated inspections like explosives. Events you should refuse early

Leadership inspection is a probability event with a nasty early failure rate. A failed visit deletes prestige you needed for the next school rank. Late game, when the campus is fat, you can gamble. Year one through year six, leave the car outside.

Venue lease pays a tip and occupies space you will wish you had kept. If the event exists you are probably not poor enough for the payout to matter. Decline.

Halloween is a flavour trap. Supporting it does not build the kind of prestige the white school icon wants. Refuse unless you are collecting chaos on purpose.

Three school-enterprise firms have a reputation for bad contracts. The campus will offer better partners later. Refuse the known trio. Good cooperation still wants trained teachers and employable graduates, which is a faculty problem, not a popup problem.

Events you should accept

Women’s Day raises female teacher loyalty. Office computers raise teacher loyalty. Christmas does the same. Loyalty is cheaper than replacing a whole international-hire board. Academic exchange lands prestige most of the time; the commonly quoted success rate sits near 80 percent with about 100 prestige on a win. Official-site promotion is a must-click. Qixi is a small prestige gift. Monks are a yes. Sub-health / wellness drives loyalty across staff. Flu / vaccine is accept and inoculate.

Sports equipment is a free accept with no real bonus. Take it so the popup dies. Pyramid scheme is the odd one: choose the fake-compromise line for a principal-ability bump. Smoking is a dismiss-and-expel for another ability point. Thesis trouble with the keep-going option also feeds principal ability. These are not money events. They are character stats you will wish you had when later events roll dice.

Probability, age, and the events that are not holidays

Some popups are not holidays at all. Researcher illness and lab accidents spike hard between ages 55 and 64. Do not park your academy on that band. Hire researchers in the 20–35 window and treat older stars as teachers, not as people you send into a lithography project. That rule belongs in faculty and labs and still leaks into this page because the death popup feels like an event even when it is a staffing mistake.

Logistics resignations are greed events wearing a human face. One staffer per department keeps inspections from fining empty offices. Doubling a wage into eight digits is how a solvent canteen funds a janitor’s yacht. If a department is empty after a fine, refill it; do not pre-hire a crowd.

Club and sports calendars create their own event noise. Club tasks give a trickle of experience and are optional. Sports meets are not optional if you want prestige; they are scheduled work, covered on the sports center page. Do not confuse a match popup with a holiday popup.

How to use this sheet during a real year

When a window appears, ask three questions. Does it spend prestige I need for a rank gate this decade? Does it raise loyalty I would otherwise buy with wages? Does it smell like a lease, an inspection, or a bad firm? If the answer to the first is yes, refuse. If the second is yes, accept. If the third is yes, refuse. Everything else can follow the list above.

The first-decade checklist reminds you to open school activities in year one so you are not starving prestige and then accepting a bad inspection to chase it.
